Ahh, replying to myself. Fun.
As Dean noted, the part above is not applicable to all cars. Indeed,
for Howard, as I just noticed, it probably does not apply at all
(grumble grumble I need to own an MGA to understand).
Still, WIX makes a wonderful filter. However, part of what makes it so
good is the quality of the canister components (anti-drain valve,
filter bypass valve), which if I understand correctly, would not be a
part of the MGA or earlier B (as stock) components?
