I had a pair of Cibie headlamps that were the precusors to the Z beam. 
They were more of an L shaped beam.  In other words a Z beam without the
top hoizontal cutoff segment of the Z.  Got them at a discount as I
didn't know they were about to be outmoded.  The stayed in my Z car
until the reflector silver got bad.  I loved them.  Very definite cut
off and bright.  I wonder if they could be resilvered?
