I originally used a coffee can just wired to one side in front of the
radiator. Got so much teasing at car shows (wasn't even an English brand
of coffee can) that I installed a spare TR6 (GASP!) overflow bottle,
with a TR6 (GASP!) bottle bracket painted to match the engine interior.
Because the cooling system is not a closed system (like a modern car) the
excess will not flow back into the radiator after it cools. The bottle
only catches and holds the small amount that spills over and winds up on
the garage floor. Don't know how you would create a closed system on an
early B.
