3rd letter, N is roadster, D is coupe
4th letter if found is variation from standard, L = left hand drive
1st number 2 used only on MK II's
Car number 24609 in Jan 1957
             45411    Jan 1958
             61117    Jan 1959
So, I would suspect your VIN to look something like GHNL XXXXX
