As usual, Mr. Gaylord's excellent web site has great info. I will humbly add
the method I use. This has worked well for me on MGA's, MGB's & even a
friend's Peugeot!
I use a 60ml syringe with a short length of plastic tubing to connect the
syringe to the clutch bleeder. Fill the master cylinder then open the bleed
screw about one turn. Use the syringe to suck out air until you get only
fluid.
To obtain such a syringe check a medical or veterinary supply store, or ask
a friend who works in the medical field for a 'catheter tip syringe'. Note:
hydraulic fluid will likely attack the rubber plunger seal making the
syringe a one-time use tool. But, since I am an ER nurse, they don't cost
*me* very much...!
OK, this is really just a cheap-skate version of the Mity-Vac method... But
I thought Barney might like it just for that reason.
