Hey Listers!

Thanks for your responses. It appears that I didn't install the distributor 
drive gear quite right. I think I'm off by one tooth, which would explain 
why I had to rotate the distributor so far CCW. Unfortunately, I don't have 
a long 5/16" bolt in my hardware supply (and I can't access the tappet 
covers with the carbs installed), so I'll have to make a trip to my favorite 
Ace Hardware store tomorrow and pick one up.
