actually, the honda S2000 and the Mazda RX 7 are mid engine cars in the true
definition of the word. and both of those are very, very fast!!!
of course, there was the pontiac fiero, both 4 and 6 cyl versions. i had a
4 - loved it! the six i heard was quite fast!!!
