Under-the hood color scheme

Hello MG'ers,

I'm in the process of resurrecting (or trying) a '79 B from the dead and am
prepping the engine compartment for paint.  I've talked with several
enthusiasts who say that the engine should be high gloss black while the
compartment should be the cars exterior color.  Anybody have any ideas?
