Have rebuilt a tube axle for 74 MGBGT and notice that there is no
gasket at the outer bearing cap that bolts to the axle and holds the
outer axle bearing. Should I use a sealant/form a gasket/ RTV/ or
nothing? Looks like if nothing is there it will leak rear axle lube.
Help. I do not wnat to have to take this apart due to an oversite on
my part.
