That's a whole different kettle of fish.
That either implies factory production in some kind of significant numbers,
or the work of a coachbuilder, implying limited production or a one-off show
special. But it eliminates the entire genre of home-built racing specials
and fiberglass "custom" series-production bodies. My hunch is that it also
probably moves the date back into the 50s or very early 60s.
I can't get over how awkward-looking that roofline is. Were there British
coachbuilders working in steel at this period? I just can't believe the
Italians would let that thing out the door...
