| Much less invasive to remove the rack complete.  Two nuts if you have a
scissors taper cracker or four bolts to remove the steering arms if you don't,
and four nuts and two bolts to remove the rack from the cross-member.  You do
have to watch out for any shims between the rack and cross-member and out them
back as you found them.
