Paul: The pedal gradually returns to its normal position. I can engage any 
gear, release the clutch and nothing happens as the clutch remains engaged 
then slowly returns and the car begins to move. It's symptomatic of what 
happens when the brakes hoses fail. The hose looks fine but the interior has 
collapsed.
