At a show, a guy with a "for sale red" TD, fitted with Dunlop
made-in-Rhodesia tires, assured me that these were identical to the originals,
and that in the 1950s Dunlop made its tires in Rhodesia and sent them to
England.
I did not know that, and in 20 years, have yetto meet anyone else who knew
it either.

And is there
some other reason some of these are reversed, other than installation
error? I did have one guy tell me that his rear facing outlets were
correct, and everyone else was wrong!
