A Canadian wrote in a Peachtree usergroup that "Peachtree accounting
software is alive and well but has a new name. The rebranding means that our
American Peachtree will be called Sage 50 but it will be the same product,
just no Peach."

An article in Wikipedia -
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Peachtree_Accounting
- indicates that "Peachtree was the first business software introduced for
microcomputers and the oldest microcomputer software program for business in
current use, with the possible exception of the original Microsoft Basic
interpreters, also introduced in 1975."
Sage has an equally long heritage in the UK -

This reminded me of a recent article: Keeping Dead Products Alive: Tips for
Supporting Legacy Software
http://redmondmag.com/articles/2012/02/01/keeping-dead-products-alive.aspx
If you'll read to the end about the 1988 Harley Davidson Softail you'll see
the relevance to MG's.

Cheers, and thanks for reading.
