I guess I passed the test. Turned the engine until the timing mark =
lined up, completely rearranged the spark wires, and unstuck the carb =
piston. Ran it twice for about 15 seconds each using just starter =
fluid. Smelled like varnish! Gas gage reads empty; I=E2=80=99ll get =
some gas, gas cleaner, and see if I can get it to idle. Got a few small =
things to iron out and with a little luck I=E2=80=99ll be driving it. =
my favorite so far: both battery cables are black. I do NOT like that. =
On the list of things to fix.

=20

Big question =E2=80=93 I have one of those remote starter things. I can =
see where to hook it up on the starter. Other than running a long lead =
back to the battery, is there a place where I can hook it up inside the =
engine compartment? I=E2=80=99m guessing the fuse box? Any =
recommendations?

Its very clean. Door has the crack of doom, and the paint has a ton of =
chips, but otherwise looks solid. =20

I figure this is my mechanics test =E2=80=93 to see if I can get it =
running!

Recently picked up this little gem =E2=80=93 78 B. owner could not get =
it running. Has good compression. Hopefully this weekend I can tear =
into it!
