I chuckled at "Not sure what MOWOG is ...", that has led to some
arguments over the years, like what 'MG' stands for ...
"Baby windshield washer bottle ... that might last 2 or 3 pumps ..." He
should try it ð??? Is that the original place for the pump on a NA
70-72? Funnily enough it's where I mounted mine (UK 73) when I
converted from the push-pump.
IS the fuel pump bad? If the reason the car cut out was the ignition
switch (apparently other electrical stuff stopped working at the same
time) then the carb float chambers will still be full so when you power
the pump you may get one click but that's all. Maybe he was expecting it
to whirr, and begs the question (plus many other misconceptions about
the car) as to whether this was the best place to send it.
