Actually, if I recall correctly, the MIN. wall thickness is .040. However there is no such tubing size..BUT...if you could get a foundry to produce a limited batch, you could save some weight ;-) .049 isnt very difficult to weld, especially with MIG, as long as there is a tight fit between the components.
