Reputable intelligence sources reported today that the centerpiece of the
renewed Allied effort to draw Saddam Hussein out in the open and, once and
for all eliminate him center on a little-known automobile of British
manufacture, the Morgan....
Several of the latest +8 versions have been reported to have been delivered
to the Royal Marines, dressed out in full camouflage paint. Lest youmight
think that these represent a new high-mobility personnel carrier or stealth
scouting vehicle, our inside information reveals that they are actually
intended to be placed by commandos in areas through which Saddam has been
known to frequent....as an ultimate lure to get him out in the open.
Weather is "ruddy fine" in Baghdad this time of year, and the bet is that
Saddam, confronted with a Morgan in fine trim, will find it irresistable, and
soon be out on the many boulevards bearing his name, black toupee swirling in
the wind. Meanwhile, an attack squadron of Harriers, F-4's, F-118's, Wild
Weasels, and B-52's will have been programmed to home on the elixer of
burning oil and sparking electrics....
The confrontation will be swift and grim....Saddam, revealed on his own in
open road will be met with overwhelming firepower....and escape because none
of them Brits would ever hurt a Morgan.
