Great time for me at Pittsburgh- Not so good for the rest of the team. Not
sure why Pete's steering locked- luckly it was on the pace lap and his speed
was not high. Trikes bend a lot. The good news is that he was not hurt- nor
the engine or radiator. All fixable. Also his trailer had a bent axel and
went through 7 tyres in the trip. We spent more time looking for trailer
tyres that highway driving on the way home....
At the awards dinner Sunday they gave around six awards. I was blown away to
recieve the "Best drive in class" award. Guess drifting looks good. My clutch
was so far gone that I could choose an RPM at any speed. Got some great video
footage though. Had the camera mounted on the side of the car. Pretty shaky
but good way to relive the race. The curb-clip, Pylon clip, and almost
Crosley T-bone are all there. Didn't have the camera mounted in practice when
the Bugatti spun right in front of me though.A classic moment.
