Good evening, Gentle Persons, Was surprised at the
overwhelming volume of responses, guesses, conjectures
and speculation to my question about the RR bonnet
(hood) ornament. Here is a quick tabulation of the
inklings: Winged Ecstacy (1) Spirit of Ecstacy (5
with good authority) and the nickname for Spirit of
Ecstacy, Flying Lady (7) Kneeling Lady or a mention
of her (3)
Winged Spirit of Ecstasy, which seems to cover all the
options nicely (1) Winged Victory (1)
Interestingly enough there are a few Morgan/RR owners
out there and they chimed in with the Spirit of
Ecstasy as the name and the Flying Lady as her nick
name. Whew, that was fun. Great to hear from all
