I should think that getting them on the centerline of the fender would
do pretty well.  I suspect they can't be placed inboard on the fendor
like the Talbot-Lago T150SS Figoni et Falaschi due to required
headlight height regulations.  It might make an interesting
aftermarket variation however.

Another alternative: With the plethora of micro-sized lights (as seen
on BMWs and Mercedes of late), they could be faired into the fender
quite high on the centerline and simply look like a signal light yet
still get the job done.  

At least, thats what I would do if I had the where-with-all to buy an
Aero 8.
