Hey gang. Don't know how many of you have 4/4s with the Kent engs. But
I ran across an interesting item on the Spitfire list. They were discussing
replacing the 4sp and 4sp /w OD with a "Ford 9" 5sp xmission by a company
in the UK:

Anyway, I contacted them, and asked if they had an adapter plate for the
Kent eng. They said no, but if there was enough interest they might
do it. So, if you've thought about putting in a 5sp, this might be
a chance. Send them an email and let them know. Their kit, xmission
and adapter is about 900 pounds.
