Hello again from the cold windy driveway,

Sorry I've been away for so long. Thanks to all who responded to my
heater core plea with offers and advice. I ended up getting it recored
at the local radiator shop. They had a core custom built to fit and
made a very professional looking job of the installation. It was a
paltry $80 for this service (ouch!), but now it has a modern core and I
can run a little pressure in my coolant system.

Dad and I took the bed off my '50 a few days ago to begin on the 10-bolt
conversion. What we found was an obviously bent rear frame section.
The truck took a hit some time in the past which pushed the rear section
of the frame over 1 5/8 inches. Ooo, ahahah. That's bad. We (to be
read "Dad") got her all straightened out today and there is a fancy new
crossmember and angle braces to keep things true and stiff! Very good!
:^)

The Painless Wiring kit is a breeze to install. Email me if you would
like some specifics on this one.

Take care you all and enjoy this great weather that should (hopefully)
be prevailing soon. Back to the concrete...
