Sounds like it would work quite well! The motorcycle tanks have lots of
little nooks and crannies that you would have to use a very small chain on,
so I would stick with the small hardware there if I could, but on auto tanks
I think it would be a good way to go!

A few months ago, someone on the list mentioned using a chain to clean the
inside of a rusty tank.... rather than nuts and bolts, etc. The chain is
easier to get out when you're finished.
