Some of the vendors sell 6 volt halogen bulbs to convert pre-1940 headlights.
I seriously considered them for my 1936 Chevy Lowcab Pickup. However, they
draw more current than my stock generator puts out and having brighter
headlights that grow dimmer while driving kept me from installing them.
