Ted, I read alot on tractors and lots of fellas use something called JB W=
eld
It is a two-part compound that you mix and push/squeeze into the crack o=
r
hole and let set a day or so. Guys swear by it. It resists oil, fuel and
water. Need to have the crack dry and power wire brushed if possible to b=
are
metal and work it in with putty knife as you apply it. Some have had it l=
ast
for years that way. It would be a temp fix anyway till you found new

I have a '38 half ton with about a 2 inch crack on the block that=0D
leaks water....I have a few questions about this. I have no water yet in=0D
the oil=0D
=0D
1.) The motor runs good (with the exception of the crack) I am wondering=0D
if anyone out there has repaired a crack by drilling and using=0D
screws/pins to repair or any other=0D
way to properly repair it. Is there any kind of kit to buy to=0D
repair it...if I cannot repair it I'll go to option #2=0D
2.) I live in the Sacramento area and am looking for a replacement motor=0D
a good 216 or 235 that can be used as a daily driver. Please email me of=0D
the list if you have one=0D
to sell. I am not really willing to travel a long distance to pick=0D
it up. I have no other truck.=0D
3.) Anyone have good tips for what to look for when buying a good used=0D
motor?=0D
=0D
Thanks you for your time,=0D
