Hi Bill,

You're right.  I've got a double hybrid.  The column, steering wheel,
seat, engine, tranny (maybe) and rear end come from a 71 Impala.

More so than those things, I see a later model (ie. 70's) steering wheel
on the original column, but is that part of the 70's column strapped to
the original with a clamp so you could have the blinkers? Heh.

Yep, Hurst shifter, though it moves forward into gear, rather than back.
;)  Underneath all of that compost material in the bed is a solid steel
bed.  I haven't decided yet whether to go back to the original wood or
not....
