Do like the old truck Power steering kits do. Put the 70's gear box out on
the outer side of left frame rails just like the orig 70''s one was. Then
run a shaft and u-joint set-up back to your column or the newer column would
be easier. Much like orig. You will most likely have to have shaft go thru
the inner fender in a hole you make. You can use power box and need lines to
it off pump on your V-8 you swap in. Check out those kits in vendors
catalogs. They go directly to the one wheel with new link and steering arm,
but you shouldn't have to if using modern suspension.
