Think they should be 3" for most GM axles. Most any vendor should have
those. OR, go to a trailer or spring shop for better prices. They may also
have smaller diam pads. Spring width may change too, make sure you get
correct width. My opinion is to mount up the pads w/out welding, leave
almost loose on the U-bolts and set your pinion angle, tighten U-bolts some
and tack weld the pads to axle. Remove the axle to weld up better. Don't
need a real good weld to hold, U-bolt will do it. Don't overheat the tube
welding too long, they do warp if that's done.
