Best way is to take the arm off of the backing plate, you'll have to grind 
the mushroomed end off of the tierod and have it pushed out. I've heard 
that it takes a lot of pressure to push this out-a local machine shop may 
have a large enough press to do the job.   I've never done this myself but 
have heard stories...   --wayne
