Gang,
I am now through with the installation of the copper oil line that feeds the
rocker assembly. Thanks for your help on this.
Two questions:
1. Just for my own curiosity, I did a ram down test on each cylinder before
installing the rocker assembly. There was a little bit of leakage on each
cylinder through the ports. ("Little bit of leakage" = (guessing here) about
enough to fill a balloon in about 10 seconds.) The valves have just been
redone and some of them even lapped. Is it normal to have a little bit of
leakage? I am using about 80 pounds to do the ram down test.
2. I am now in process of installing the rockers onto the head. There seems to
be one rocker that is tight even with the adjustment screw removed. Is this
normal? Should I just go ahead and tighten the bolts to that hold the assembly
in place and then adjust the valves cold?
