Normal mix for MIG welding is 75% Argon 25% CO2.   If you are indeed
using straight CO2 you should get much better looking welds with the
Argon mixture.  I believe that the only reason you would go to straight
CO2 is for Aluminum or a hotter more volitile arc on steel ?
