Hi folks,

I'm new to the Shop-talk list. I've been watching for a week now and
thought it's time I jumped in and asked for some advice.

About a month ago I purchased a Spray Putty Gun, unfortunately it didn't
come with any instructions. I've tried to use it several times now,
experimenting with different adjustments and the results are a total
disaster each time.

The gun is a DeVilbiss, the only markings on it are MOD: CGB and SER:
502

I can adjust the size of the fan, as well as the quantity of material it
sprays, however it always sprays the material as heavy droplets that are
widely spaced and don't flow smoothly into each other and dry full of
pin holes. I've tried a couple of brands of spray putty with the same
results.

Is there anyone familiar with this spray gun? Have I been sold the wrong
gun or do I just need to get a different nozzle and needle to get a
finer spray?

Thanks,

Eriks Skinkis
