ran all the way home yesterday and opened my can of dye. this stuff is a
serious concentration ! My Kohler 20 hp twin takes two quarts in the
crankcase. I used an eyedropper and added about 1/2 of the dropper tube
worth. Ran the engine for a couple of minutes and it turned the oil a
shade lighter than trans fluid. then did another 1/2 dropper full... and
it turned a nice crimson red.. no problem seeing it now !!!
Another note... whatever ... WHATEVER it gets on will be RED...
seriously, probably permanent RED !! Of course I got one drop on my hand
and finally got it all off with lacquer thinner and some serious
soaking/rubbing... I'd recommend gloves (like the ones in the box on my
workbench that I didn't use) when handling this stuff, unless of course
you're fond of that particular shade of skin color...
