Personally, I've been using Eudora for years!!! You can get it free from:
www.eudora.com

I also DON'T run MS Office. It eats up tooooo much realistate and has more
features than most people will/can use. I own a copy, but I prefer MS
Works. It DOESN'T support macros.

I was hit by the BadTrans virus yesterday also. But it didn't do any harm,
other than my antivirus program caught it after the fact. I got the latest
updates and it caught it.

For those that are "newbees" and think you are protected with the antivirus
software that came with your computer, you are wrong!!!! I suggest that
you either purchase Norton (which is what I use) or McAfee Antivirus
software. There are new updates all the time. In fact the virus signature
file that I was running was only a couple of weeks old and it didn't catch
the badtrans. When I loaded the newest file, Norton caught the virus.
