I have used a Lincoln 100 amp wire welder for over 10 years.
It welds sheet metal just dandy. I use CO2 since it much cheaper.
The only problem with wire welders (a.k.a. MIG) is when welding
killed (old) metal to new metal. The killed metal has microscopic
flaws due to corrosion.
