There's no reason you can't daisy-chain 220v outlets just like 110v outlets.
The reason it isn't commonly done is that most 220v outlets are not general
purpose outlets, they're for a specific device. Of course, if you plan to
run multiple devices at one time, the circuit (and the outlets) have to be
big enough to handle the total current.
