I have the HF special. No problems with the pump except when I sprayed some
brake cleaning fluid into the unit. It caused the paint on the inside of the
tank to peel off & clog the pump intake...
I did find the switch for the pump was a POS. The switch just fell apart the
second time I used it. I replaced it with a switch from the local electrical
parts supply store - works fine ever since.
Interestingly, I have seen a replacement switch listed in the HF catalog right
next to the parts cleaner - makes me think they know its a POS...
