I'm at my wit's end trying to find some flexible bushes for my Brit
vintage racecar restoration.
These bushes have metal inner and outer sleeves and rubber interior.
AKA Metalastik or Silentbloc bushes. I have tried the parents of those
brand names to no avail. I think it might be Silentbloc part #E-1115
but I don't have a catalog.
OD 1.125"
ID 0.500"
Inner L ~1.5
I can cut down any part that is too long, the OD and ID are the rub.
Especially the OD.
There are OD/ID sleeving solutions, but I'd like to find the "right"
part to ensure I get decent flexibility. Forget pawing through the bins
at the local auto parts store, apparently if you don't have a model and
year they can't help you.
Vendors or other leads appreciated. I've got to belive they were
sourced from some 60's UK vehicle like a Hillman Imp or something.
Neither Dave Bean nor Peter Denty could help source these.
