I bought one a couple years ago, and used it to spray latex paint. Worked
pretty good, once I got the hang of it. My main problem was keeping the cup
full enough. If the cup level fell below 1/2, the paint wouldn't run towards
the pickup fast enough and the pump would suck air. Once the gun sucks air, it
spits and sputters for a long time. The unit I bought came with a backpack to
hold an entire gallon of paint, probably would have worked better for the work I
had to do than the 1 qt cup.
