It never hurts to get more estimates.=20
I had a furnace flue installed in my shop that took about 2 hours. It went t=
hrough a metal roof, up the outside of the building about 5=E2=80=99, then t=
hrough the overhang on the second floor - also metal. I supplied most of the=
materials & they charged $500. This was last year in Texas.=20
Just guessing, but northern homes have basements, which will either require a=
longer flue or a power vent, which can be quite expensive.=20
