Speaking of email, and the knowledge of this group, I have a question about=
email. With all the very savvy people in this group I'm hoping someone wor=
ks in IT and understands email.
My email address is jblair1948@cox.net.=C2=A0 When I got my Cox account som=
e 15 yrs ago, they were providing the email and support, ie. my email went =
to their servers.=C2=A0 I was using Eudora at the time and POP mail.=C2=A0 =
Then about 2 to 3 yrs ago, Cox stopped hosting email for their customers an=
d passed it on to Yahoo.=C2=A0 However, I still use my old cox.net email ad=
dress but to get my mail I have to log into Yahoo instead of logging into C=
ox.
So is this now like the cell phones where you can carry your email address =
with you or is my email going to cox and then forwarded to Yahoo?
The reason I'm asking is, that if I change my ISP from Cox to say Verizon c=
an I get my email send to Verizon or even Gmail or will I be required to ge=
t a new email address at either Gmail or who ever is my new ISP's email?
