I decided to give you all an update on the progress of what started as a clutch
job on my freinds '67 Spitfire. We left off with a broken pipe, just before the
slave cylinder. We borrowed a flaring tool and reflarred the pipe. After
putting the fitting on and pressurizing the system once again, it leaked. We
thought there might be a crack in the flare, so we went to pull off the pipe.
This is when we discovered that the fitting had stripped out in the slave
cylinder. We had to cut the pipe and pull out the slave just to get the fitting
out. We then hit the local junkyard alley to see if we could find a junked
spit.
While looking through one of the fences to see what we could see, a junkyard dog
decided to rush us. We both stepped back from the closed gate, but the dog
slipped right underneath! He chased my freind for a bit then turn to me, I was
already running for the car. He leaped up a bit my ass! Luckily he didn't
break
skin, but just ripped my jeans. At that point both me and my freind were back
in
the car. Just thought you might want to know how it's been going...

On a brighter note. I finally took a look at why my Spit wasn't working, and
the
new cap and rotor should be here tomorrow.
