Listers, now that everyone is back to work after the holidays I'll repost the
For Sale add that I posted just before christmas.

------

Due to the many other projects I have going right now and my geneal lack
of parking/storage space I've decided to sell the 1973 Spitfire 1500 that
I picked up recently.

Here is a brief description of the car. Car is actually in better condition
than
the write up makes it sound like!! Also the car is located in Lincoln
Nebraska but hauling can be arranged depending on buyers location.

73 1500 (motor out of car and needs rebuilt)

Rust hole about 2 to 3 inches in size on RH lower fron valance.

Rust hole about 2 inches in size on RH rear rocker.

Note: Both of the rust holes have solid metal around them and the cancer
doesn't seem to have spread any farther.

Original tubular exhaust header

Carpet needs replacing

Seats need foams and coverings

Wood dash would probably need refinished but otherwise looks good

Bonnet pushed back just slightly on drivers side and needs a very small
amount of work on the LH side by driver door. Should be no problem to
correct.

Driver door is bent where PO pried the edge back so door could open. I
have replacement door in VG condition

Condition of gauges & electrics unknown but everything appears to be
present and intact.

Car was parked for at least the last 11 years and the odometer shows
something like 23k. Considering the overall condition of the car I wouldn't
be surprised if it was only 23k and not 123k. (obviously just a guess!)

Frame is solid and I couldn't find any rust on it other than surface.

Both driver and passenger floorboards have a rusted through in one spot
but would be easily repairable. No reason to replace the floor boards, inner
sills or rockers. The one rocker rust hole can be repaired without
replacement.

The parts that I know to be missing are the water pump and the alternator.

This car would make and excellent restoration project due to its overall
condition and the fact that 99% of the parts are still there. Any reasonable
offer will be accepted.
