It sounds to me like you need a slave cylinder rebuild kit.  If you cannot
find any fluid anywhere yet it is loosing fluid, it is probably going into the
bell housing.  Mine did this.  It leaks out of the front end of the slave and
splatters all over the inside of the bell housing.  I removed my engine for a
swap and found a very thick accumulation of gunk inside the bell.  It was a
pretty icky mess.
