I wasn't aware of any problems getting paint in the UK.

My daily-driver Spitfire could really do with a new bonnet. One of the
wheel-arches is rusty, and the rest of the bonnet is suffering from a
couple of very poor repair jobs by a PO. Nothing that needs sorting out
urgently, but something I was going to do when the weather gets a bit
better and I've got a bit of money to spare (yeah, like that's gonna
happen!)

My plan was to find a reasonable-condition bonnet off a scrapped car and
re-spray it to match the red that my car is. Is it not possible to get
the paint to do this? It's not something I've ever encountered before,
since the only bodywork I've ever done on any car has been small repair
jobs which a small spray-can is more than good enough for.

Any more info would be appreciated!
