HI Listers! Yes its me and I'm home for spring break working on the
spitfire as any good student should. Anyway I've fixed some annoying
problems like the alternator not charging the battery etc.. and now I
want to put my soft top on.
I've never had the softop on nor have I seen another spitfire with one
on. I have a Robbins top that I have cleaned and shined up that seems
to be in great condition. Its on the frame and now I just have to put
it on. As usual Haynes was oh so helpful with about 10 words on how to
take the "hood" on and off.
The part that looks odd is the back plate that screws into the rear
deck. It seems to me that it would scratch the paint. Am I missing a
pad or something? Besides that plate I assume you just bolt the guy in
there.
Any suggestions and or comments are welcome.
