Pete,

Since you want to wait to make repairs anyway, why not just buy another
axle assembly, rebuild that, and pop it in?  Thats what I did, & I got one
for about $75.  (I know Ted Schumacher usually has used ones.)

When I was looking two years ago, Ted also offered to press the existing
axle for $35 plus ship to Ohio.


You know, the Vintage Triumph Register has its national meet in Portland
Maine this July 28?  Bet you could arraign to get the parts or tools you
need there.
