It should only cause oil to run down the valves if the valve stem seals are
shot. If you get a puff of blue smoke at start up that quickly clears, that's
due to valve stem seals going bad.

Subject: Rocker Oil feed pipe

I was considering fitting a Rocker Oil feed pipe from the likes of moss,
rimmer etc in the interest of increasing the oil supply to the upper engine
and was wondering if anyone else felt they were beneficial or a waste of
time. I have also heard some comments previously that it causes oil to run
down the valves or something, anyone heard of this.

thanks in advance.
