Is this the little Purolator pump that is square? About 2.5" x 2.5" x 2"?
If it is , I would recommend keeping some sort of a spare pump in the trunk
with you at all times.  Its not a question of Is that pump is going to fail,
its a question of when.  I put myself through college selling auto parts,
almost everyone of those little things we sold came back defective. Not to
mention they are loud as hell.  Get a good Carter or Holly with a regulator.
Might be overkill for a Spitfire but they won't fail.
